The Center for Creativity, Entrepreneurship and Innovation is pleased to announce the upcoming Creativity and Innovation Competition. This competition aims to showcase inventive ideas and creative works while emphasizing the importance of intellectual property protection. We invite all participants to engage in this opportunity to highlight their creativity and innovation.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:

– 𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: Present your original inventions or creative projects linked to intellectual property rights.

– 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Mogadishu University students, researchers, lecturers and staff.

#𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀:

– Submission Format: Create a video (1-3 minutes) explaining your idea, its benefits, and how it relates to intellectual property rights.

– 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Individual or teams (max 4 members), open to all fields (technology, arts, environmental solutions, etc.).

Dr. Shariff Osman, Director of the Institute of Peace, Water, and Environment, significantly enriched the experience with his expertise. He emphasized, “Creativity is the ability to generate new ideas, approaches, or solutions. It involves thinking outside the box. Innovation, on the other hand, is the application of creative ideas to develop new products and services.”

The study illuminated innovative practices and approaches that small businesses can adopt to navigate marketing challenges and seize growth opportunities. By showcasing case studies and successful strategies, it provided practical insights for both entrepreneurs and policymakers.

Eng. Abdisatar’s work also emphasized the broader implications of entrepreneurial initiatives for the economic development of local communities. The findings illustrated how fostering creativity and innovation among small businesses can drive sustainable economic growth and social progress in the region. This research serves as a valuable resource for understanding and promoting entrepreneurship in Somalia.
